What would it take you to change your life?
In 2009, I decided to finally follow
my heart for better or worse to become a certified Body Talk
practitioner to help people heal from hurts that no one else could address. My dad was my first great success story. Over the last couple years, I've had the privilege assisting individuals and their loved ones towards better health and a new path in person and via distance sessions.
Body Talk found me when a friend talked about it at a Christmas party in 2008. Since our health insurance covered it, I thought why not? Let's give it try. From my first appointment I never looked back. Within four months I took my first course and shortly after I became a practitioner. I've taken most of the advanced courses Body Talk offers. Lymphatic Drainage (Module 5) is definitely my favorite, because you can connect with your clients on a deeper level when you touch them.
In terms of formal training I have a degree in chemistry from the University of Lethbridge. Chemistry much like Body Talk demands belief in a completely unseen universe. If an object can exist at the same time in different spaces, why can't tapping the head and heart heal someone? I use scientific principles to explain Body Talk to clients as well as to gain deeper insight into how it all works.
Growing up in an East Indian home, Yoga was always part of my life, not so much the postures, but the values. As an adult, I rediscovered its teachings when I took a meditation class with Pandit Dabral. I readily incorporate breath work and yoga philosophy into my treatments.
