Frequently Asked Questions

1) For questions on Distance treatments

2) For questions about Sima

Q. How do you deal with skeptics?

A. Usually I invite them to have a treatment, because that's the only way you can honestly say something doesn't work. If you visit my blog I practice what I preach. I've tried many modalities, before coming to the conclusion that Body Talk is the best fit for me. Because of Yoga's recent popularity people can relate to it. Body Talk follows the same principles just in a different way.

Also, by the time clients come to see me they've already tried everything in allopathic realm and sometimes on the holistic side as well. They only want relief no matter how it comes. Most of clients come from referrals, so someone in their lives have already experienced how powerful Body Talk can be and want to share.

Q. Does it hurt? What are possible side effects of therapy?

A. Body Talk involves connecting links to help the body heal effectively. The most physical contact is movement in the wrist and tapping of the head and heart. However, if emotions are ready to leave in a dramatic way, then clients may feel tired or teary. To see a video of the treatment click here.

Q. How many appointments will a client need?

A. Body Talk varies by individual. The client knows her/his body best and will know when it's time for another session. I've had clients see me as often as three time per month or as little as once every three months.

Q. How does Body Talk work?

A. Body Talk engages the Left Brain and Right Brain simultaneously. To engage the left brain the practitioner refers back to a chart. To activate the right brain the practitioner looks for a response. When this occurs a higher, meditative state is achieved for both the practitioner and the client. In this state the client's innate wisdom can be accessed and the practitioner is free to ask yes/no questions to find communication pathways that need addressing (the formula) and tap the head and the heart to implement.

Q.Why do you tap the head and heart?

A. Tapping the head brings attention to the formula, so the body/mind/spirit knows that it needs to do some work to resynchronize its systems for more optimal functioning. Tapping the heart circulates the instructions (the links) of formula to all the different aspects to implemented then stored, ensuring that the exact same issue doesn't reoccur.

The head is like the CEO of company, knows a lot to be in charge, but many times is completely oblivious as what is really going on in the company. The heart is like the manager/foreman who oversees the day to day operations and knows what's going on in the body, but needs some direction. Smooth communication involves both these parties synchronizing to work together.

Q. What are the origins of Body Talk?

A. Body Talk has its roots in many different modalities including Chinese medicine, applied kinesiology, acupuncture, meditation, Ayurveda, astrology, chiropractics, as well as western anatomy and physiology. Dr. John Veltheim studied these modalities and came up with the Body Talk system after facing a life threatening condition.
