Reconnective Health - Placing healing back in your hands
Q. What kind of clients do you typically see?

A. Generally, when other modalities have failed to solve their problem clients seek out alternatives such as Body Talk. Ideally, I'd like to specialize in treating families, because children have a hard time expressing themselves, especially when they are sick. In most traditional modalities the client is separated from their families. With Body Talk relationships within the family can be strengthened or repaired if necessary.

Q. Because you have scientific training didn't Body Talk seem weird?

A. In chemistry many things are weird, which may explain why few people specialize in it. For example: If we're all empty space why can't we walk through walls? Having a science behind me gives me better insight on how Body Talk works, especially now since the school has embraced Quantum Theory.

Q. How does your interest in Yoga and meditation relate to Body Talk?

A. Body Talk and Yoga come from a similar belief system of uniting two halves to create a whole to access the higher self or innate wisdom. In Yoga two halves can be components of the breath (achieving even air flow from left and right nostrils) and in Body Talk the logical side and creative sides of the brain work simultaneously via using a chart for guidance and a response in the client.

When I lead meditation classes, before we settle in to meditate I have the class practice cortices on themselves and on each other. By making sure any cold spots in the brain are addressed first the meditation becomes deeper. For asana yoga practice I can explain why certain positions will release different emotions. Body Talk has concise ways of explaining Chinese medicine concepts of where the body should store emotions.

Q. What are your future plans?

A. I would like to volunteer with a children's hospice. From my work at Ronald Mc Donald House, families rally around a sick child. It's remarkably easy to treat a family when they are all present and free is rather affordable. In order to do this I've decided to give up my clinical practice to raise capital for my other company Lotions and Potions Virtual for a project that will pay the bills, so I can worry about helping people who need me the most.
