I have 60 days to raise $5000 so far I'm over the 10% mark and I know some people will donate if I remind them enough times. Since my idea is to make online lessons I figured I should have a video pitch complete with a free lesson for people to see what I do. Indiegogo.com states that my chances of funding have increased significantly with the video. Personally, I feel way more confident presenting to people knowing I can show them what the final product will be except better. Marc only had a hand held camera and I didn't have a microphone. For the offline "pounding the pavement", I have a number of organizations that I have a good relationship with as I've done workshops for them in the past and I've supplied product to them. While I haven't been a great alumna, I will see if they might have some interest in my project in both the chemistry and business faculties. I'm disappointed that every time I try to post pictures of an event or of examples of what people can do the site seems to crash. Hopefully, that gets solved soon! If you go to the campaign page you'll be able to see the new video and of course make a donation. I was reminded that it's easy to make videos to post online, but to make good ones it takes more than a good camera and software. I love working with Marc, who's talented, professional and has great quality work. I desperately want to do as much as we can for our audience. ~S |
