I've sent a copy of this to many clients so I figured why not post it on here too. What kind of therapy is this? Well, many of the people I treat would never bother doing something for themselves, but for other people they would definitely go that extra little mile, so I always encourage them to do things like write an e book (because I know they won't journal) or create a service that helps people shine (because I know they won't follow their passion for themselves) People like Ramit Sethi put business into a simple perspective that anyone can follow. |

I've done a lot of thinking in the past few months and have made a concerted effort to listen to my inner voice, which I am notoriously good at ignoring :) There always seems to be something you should be doing, to promote a business website, twitter, facebook, youtube, webinars, blogs, newsletters, ebooks and the lists go on and on. Every time I think about these things I forget to just be. Most people say pick a couple things that work well for you and discard the rest, but how do you choose the best ones? |

It's absolutely amazing how quickly time flies by. I had seriously hoped I could raise the entire amount in 70 days, but I am still going to keep pushing forward right up until the bitter end just in case we can convince a few more people to help out. If you don't know what I'm talking about

I have 60 days to raise $5000 so far I'm over the 10% mark and I know some people will donate if I remind them enough times. Since my idea is to make online lessons I figured I should have a video pitch complete with a free lesson for people to see what I do. Indiegogo.com states that my chances of funding have increased significantly with the video.
Personally, I feel way more confident presenting to people knowing I can show them what the final product will be except better. Marc only had a hand held camera and I didn't have a microphone. |

When it comes to marketing I read a lot and put into practice what I can. I personally don't think I know a lot about it, but yeah I'm not charging $200/hr for crappy work and I know how to use Facebook unlike some of the other folks I've met in marketing. To my credit I've been in the paper and on the morning news, so I must know something.
One of my friends had a great initiative that I'm going to use too. He wanted 25 referrals so he's decided to give out 50, including myIndigogo campaign. I want to do the same, but I don't know anyone who wants to buy a house or sell one for that matter, so the best I could do to reciprocate is to post him on my blog. |

Here it is my fundraising campaign! I'm pretty excited and stressed all at the same time because I really want this to work out. After recovering from the disappointment of a poorly filmed and edited attempt
My online efforts will definitely match my off line ones as I desperately want to raise the target amount. It's a great exercise in marketing and providing value. I have been in business for awhile so it's time to start knocking on some doors to see how well I've managed to keep in touch with people. |

I finally decided I can't be a small business all by myself. I spent so much time on one project that I decided it was better to use a service. I choseFancy Handsa service that charges you $25 for a month subscription that includes 5 requests. I was pretty upset with the first experience. I asked for wedding co-ordinators in British Columbia and knew immediately they were missing nearly half of them. I made another request and included a website with a list so hopefully they can get it right this time. |

I had a conversation with my mom about making my path pay the rent. I've almost used my savings and now I have to find another way or give up to back to work. Right now I work part time about 16 hrs/week at a job I love. Marketing via social media works out well for me. "What do you do at work?" "Facebook, twitter, blog" "Um what are you supposed to do at work?" "Facebook, Twitter, blog" "WTF?" I'm paid to learn things and try out the different ideas available. |
