Current treatment and Recommendations

This week in therapy....

This week's therapy was INTENSE, Tuesday my parents booked an appointment with a priest to do some prayers for me. They were specifically for alleviating struggles and clearer thinking, which in my opinion worked. In addition to this my friend Anahi gave me some ninja Body Talk. Ninja only because I didn't know she was doing it, except for suddenly I just had to lie down. Ah beauty of distance treatments. Most of mine I do before bed ;)

Thursday, Kiri gave me a massage/craniosacral treatment. The same themes in the Body Talk with Anahi came up with Kiri.

Love Letters and other therapy

One of my colleagues and my horoscope one week mentioned Love Letters so I decided to try it out. It's the most amazing therapy ever! You get to reflect on your past but from a place of love instead of criticism. I can't quite explain why I feel different about myself after writing in a positive way where as journaling leaves me exhausted and feeling like I'm completely nuts. Maybe it's because I feel a need to be fixed, where as in a love letter I'm perfect the way I am, but I want to deal with emotions as they have surfaced, because more often than not they relate to my self worth.

Standing Meditation

I went for a massage on Tuesday from my colleague Joshua. Massages at the clinic differ than the ones I’ve had at spas in that everyone seems to have an idea of what you can do to help yourself. My legs have been giving me trouble in that they are always tense and I have people making fun of my gigantic calves, which I blamed on snowboarding. While in fact I had a bigger problem. My weight was distributed funny, so the outside of the legs were super strong while the insides were weak. This actually started with the “falling arch” issue I’ve been suffering from since at least 2009 maybe earlier.

Angels for Friends

I've always known I've had great friends. You know the type that fly across oceans to be there for your big day and like each other so much they hang out without you. (I was invited, but couldn't afford to go. I'm sure we were busy paying off something Kallum bought, just for the record)

Today, I had just called a friend to talk about a website actually. I couldn't post events on to the calendar. After a short discussion, she asked me how I was. Honestly, I was a mess. Total and compete mess. Lorene happens to do Millennium Method, but I was so distraught I didn't even realize why she was asking certain questions.

SNOGA Therapy

I'm back at it, hitting the therapy hard lol. I have more treatments than my clients combined! On Friday I started out with a Millennium Method treatment from my friend, Lorene. Saturday morning was two hours of Hatha yoga, which was a good warm up for the day. I spent the weekend riding by myself, so I had lots of time mentally examine my life and of course meet strange people. Tell them my story and listen to theirs. One couple drove me back up hill which was nice, because it was a LONG walk or a $20 cab ride as I found out.

Jin Shin Jytsu

While I was writing my alternative health blog, I decided on Joints and Glands for J rather than explore something new like Jin Shin Jyutsu. Finally, I went to a Jin Shin Jyutsu study group last night. I must have needed the healing, because man was I hungry after and I slept really well. I could feel my body shifting while I was going through the exercises, but it wasn't anything like the other types of healing that I've done, where I connect deeply to end up a blubbering mess needing a day to recover.

AVE Audio visual entrainment

Last night I slept AMAZING to the point of deciding to purchase a Delight AVE unit. What I liked the most about it, is the ability to teach your brain via flashing lights and sound what it needs to do to perform optimally. I decided to step down a level from the pro, because the CES (cranio electro stimulation) didn't seem to work for me. I had to ramp it up to 5 before I felt the effects the others felt right away, but then my ears started burning, so I had to drop it down a level, which took away the sensation of rocking like you would on a boat.

Recent Therapy and Homework

This week has been loaded with healing. On Sunday, I had a singing bowl treatment which affected my throat and sinuses. On Wednesday Joshua gave me a massage which pretty agreed with the iridologist that my back was seriously messed up, but not in pain because my body had adjusted the stresses by twisting. He gave me some exercises to untwist (which hurt like an SOB), though I'm seriously going to have to get back into Hatha Yoga Sun Salutations. Today I went for a Reiki session which confirmed my neck was seriously messed up, though it hurts considerably less than earlier in the day.

More massage

My colleague gave me another massage, while I feel great now, it wasn't so yesterday afternoon lol! I'm so happy I live close to the clinic otherwise I would have passed out there. I definitely had a lot of things I needed to work out, especially when it came to my feet. Over half the session she worked on my feet and legs, which given my reaction they needed to release a lot of stuff. I was happy to show her some techniques from Body Talk that she could integrate into her massage practice.

Next week, I have a trade planned with a Thai Massage person.

Keeping the sugar in check on Halloween

Yes, I've always had problems enjoying "the sweetness in life" which ultimately leads to diabetes or in my case pancreatic problems. I thought I was much better, since I haven't experienced sugar crashes like I used to, but apparently I need to stop taking in external sugars like halloween candy and have fun. Well, I'm meeting up with some friends today and going to a party tonight. I have been warned about the usual demons to good health, coffee, alcohol and sugar, but for one night I should be fine :)
