Only 4 of my face book friends have decided to do the Body Vi 90 day challenge, but man they make it seem like it's a team of a 1 million, which it probably is. Multilevel marketing works incredibly well. To control the amount of seriously annoying crap on my wall, their posts are no longer displayed. For those who don't know about Body Vi think slim fast or other weight loss product in an MLM format. When I think about all the reasons other than the frequent and annoying posts cluttering my wall and the I'll pretend to like you as long as you join my team so I can make money off you, comes something more sinister. |

Lately I've been doing a bunch of Body Talk on myself. Part of it has been to sleep better, which doesn't work as well as you think, the other part is to just check up on myself. Given my coffeeaffliction, which indicates imbalance in my fire element I suspected there might be something else I might find. Lo and behold I've been doing cell repair to my small intestines, which are also part of the fire element.
Cell repair is the Body Talk way of genetic engineering your body. Basically, using our mind we look at the place that needs balancing in my case the small intestines and ask that the new healthy genetic code replace the damaged code. |

I read a magazine article in Kootenay Mountain Culture, it was about the importance of Red Necks to local ecosystems. Minus the ATVs and the dangers of "Shot Gun Bowling" Growing up in rural Alberta I too lived among them, so I decided to read the rest of the article before passing judgment and alas part of my Red Neck started to show.
When it comes to keeping deer off the road my first solution is to shoot them. Apparently, from the article, more refined people wanted them on birth control, because the population had grown so much the deer were overgrazing. |

I made the vegan cupcakes from the last post and they were pretty good. Usually, I make the recipe as it the first go, but I only made a half recipe, because I don't need them and the vegan potluck was yesterday, so I don't have too many people to give these to. Given my distaste of most milks I used coconut milk, which I think made the recipe a bit sweeter than I would have liked. I also have a higher sensitivity to sugar, so a couple months ago the recipe might have been fine. These guys don't icing at all! |

Despite not being vegetarian I have
joined many of their groups. The potlucks and dineouts are a lot of fun and I
enjoy meeting new people. Learning new dishes has been great, especially since
my little nephew can't eat eggs or milk. I've taken it upon myself to make his
1st birthday cake, but first I must test some of these recipes. At the
farmer's market I tried some vegan baking and yeah, it was what I thought vegan
baking would be like, terrible. All is not lost because I met some folks who
knew what they were doing. |

Given my new sugar reduced diet, I've been obsessing about food lately, so that's what these next few posts will be about.
I grew up in an East Indian home where if my mood
suited me I could be a vegetarian or not. I still live in this type of
environment. I'm not alone either, my cousins routinely swing which ever
way they feel at the moment and no one says anything. My parents like advance warning though, so they know what to buy ahead of time. Currently, I'm not a vegetarian, but I am thinking about going back to being one. |
